Scheduling & Attendance
The timetable runs. The register takes seconds.
Scheduling and attendance in DojoBeacon means building your timetable once and taking every register from it, with each check-in recorded straight onto the member's record. Set up your week — fundamentals and advanced classes, HIIT and circuits sessions, open mat, squad training, PT availability — and every register, waiting list and attendance record flows from it. No re-printing sheets, no typing up registers after class.
How it works in practice
How does check-in work?
Coaches open the session register on a phone or tablet at the door. Members check in with a tap, and that check-in lands on their record immediately — the same record that holds their membership, their payments and their progress. A grading decision in three months' time can rest on real attendance, not a guess.
The same flow serves a gym floor: a 6am HIIT class register, a small-group training session capped at eight, or a one-to-one PT appointment. Capacities and bookings are visible before the session starts, so an over-subscribed class is a planning problem you see coming, not a surprise at the door.
Try the register pattern here — it is the same interaction your coaches would use, running on illustrative data.

Common questions
Questions about scheduling and attendance
How does check-in work?
The coach opens the session register on a phone or tablet. Members are checked in with a tap, and the check-in lands on their member record immediately — building the attendance history that progression, reporting and grading decisions later rely on.
Which kinds of sessions can go on the timetable?
Any session your venue runs: martial arts classes and gradings, open mat, seminars, group fitness classes, small-group training and one-to-one PT appointments. Recurring classes, one-off sessions and term-based programmes all sit in the same schedule.
Can class sizes be capped?
Yes. Capacities and bookings are visible before a session starts, so a popular class can be planned for — an extra session added or a waiting list worked through — rather than an over-full room discovered at the door.
